Nature Of Work:  This is a skilled and specialized position in the field of mosquito control. Primary duties involve the inspection of mosquito sources and the application of control measures in conformance with District policies and procedures. The position requires the employee to exercise independent judgment in routine assignments. The Section Operator performs required duties in the operation and maintenance of spraying equipment. Must mix and apply mosquito control chemicals according to label specifications. Attends training sessions and must pass and remain current with the Department of Agriculture and Food’s Non-commercial Pesticide Applicator License. Keeps detailed records of work activities and chemical applications. Ensures proper use of safety equipment and performs other related duties as required.
